Happy Surprise

Caleb is home!!!! He is no longer working in Wyoming! He was offered a permanent position in Salt Lake with Layton Construction. However, I was expecting him to finish the summer in Wyoming with the same company.
I hadn't seen Caleb since the weekend of the Fourth of July. He had Army drills this weekend in Boise and he said he was going to fly from Denver to Boise, so I wasn't expecting to see him this weekend. But this is where it gets good...
This last Thursday I was at a friend's homecoming party. (She just barely returned from Basic Training for the Army.) Kristin knows her too, and decided to come to the party a little after I arrived there. So Kristin shows up, and right behind her is Caleb!!!! I was so happy and surprised!!
Then a little while later, Caleb expressed his gratitude at being done with Wyoming. Wait... What?! I thought he was just passing through on his way to Boise, but it turned out he had everything in his truck and was moving back home!! Yay!!! I get to share the rest of the summer with him!
I will be working in Provo with the Forest Service until August 19. Caleb will start in Salt Lake on August 10 and work through the school year and beyond. The last part of this week we will be going on a camping trip with my family to Trial Lake. Looks like this summer will end beautifully. :D

Fourth of July

My sisters, Adriann and Alysa, and I traveled out to Torrington, Wyoming to visit Caleb to celebrate the Fourth of July. We left Wednesday morning and returned early the following Monday. Some of our adventures there included swimming, Pioneer wagon ruts, pistol shooting, good old Wyoming fireworks, and just fun hanging out together.
Our original plans called for us to leave for Salt Lake Sunday after church, but we got a flat tire on the same road Caleb lives on. So we left early Monday morning rather than drive late into the night. We all had a blast! It was great to spend the Fourth with Caleb since we haven't been able to see each other much this summer. Here are some pictures of the trip:

Caleb and I posing after we went swimming. Sorry if we blinded anyone with our whiteness.

This picture cracks me up! We were playing with those pools toys and Caleb tried to hold it under his nose.

Caleb and Adriann playing in the pool.

Adriann, Alysa, and Caleb standing in the pioneer wagon wheel ruts. These were really neat to see in person and think that the pioneers struggled and stood on that spot.
